Be the voice of members

Influence decisions and make a real difference

We’re looking for someone like you to join our Trustee board.

We are the Trustees of the Cummins UK Pension Plan (the Plan for short). Our role is to look after the Plan and, as we have good representation from DB members, we are looking for a member of the DC Section to join our Trustee Board as a Member Nominated Director (MND).

Here you can find out more about the role, what it involves and why you might like to apply.

The deadline to apply is 5pm on 22 June 2026.

What is a Trustee board?

In the pension world, a Trustee is a company that looks after a pension scheme. The Trustee has a board of directors.

The company looking after the Plan is called Cummins UK Pension Plan Trustee Limited. Cummins appoints half of the directors, and we aim for the other half to be member-nominated directors.

Together, the Trustee directors are responsible for managing the Plan and making sure it’s run in line with the Plan’s rules and pensions legislation.

They have a duty to act in the best interests of all the Plan’s members and beneficiaries.

What we’re looking for

We have a vacancy on the board for a member-nominated director.

This is where you could come in.

  • Are you a contributing member of the DC Section of the Plan?
  • Do you have good communication skills?
  • Do you enjoy working as part of a team to make decisions?
  • Are you confident to speak out on behalf of other members of the Plan?
  • Are you interested in making a difference?
  • Can you commit to the time and work involved?

Don’t know much about pensions? That’s ok. You don’t need to be a pensions or investment expert – you’ll receive training and have access to professional advisers to help with group decision-making.

Diversity matters

We believe we can make the best decisions for our members when we have representation on the board from as wide a range of members as possible.

For the board to be as effective as possible, we need directors from different backgrounds, with different viewpoints and experiences.

If you’re thinking of putting yourself forward for selection, feel free to speak to any of the current MNDs, who’ll be glad to share their experiences.
